VECTOR developed an integrated solution for identifying, analysing, classifying and responding to explosive devices such as unexploded ordnances (UXOs) and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). By fusing 3D photogrammetry, artificial intelligence, and augmented and virtual reality technologies, the result is a versatile toolkit deployable in various Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) operational scenarios. The outcomes of the VECTOR project allow EOD units to rapidly identify explosive devices, safely conduct remote analysis and enhance real-time collaboration between first responders, EOD units and off-site experts.

CENTRIC was the coordinator of VECTOR, working closely with partners from Bosnia, Greece and North Macedonia. CENTRIC developed a multimedia capture application using image, video and LIDAR with augmented reality to perform 3D object reconstruction of IEDs/UXOs. The application was complemented by automated drone capture using camera sensors for remote analysis.
