ISOLA

ISOLA is developing state-of-the-art technologies for passenger ships to support the implementation of the Ship Security Plan. The goal is to provide integrated and automated security solutions that improve safety for passengers and crew onboard passenger ships. The project takes advantage of sensor and visual technologies to support monitoring and detecting security incidents starting from the boarding process to the voyage and disembarking.

CENTRIC is responsible for managing data protection and ethics practices for the project and analysing the legal and ethical landscape for deploying highly technical solutions in the maritime domain. On the technical side, CENTRIC is developing approaches for providing an early warning assessment, implementing security risk modelling for simulation of incident response and creating warning messages to send to the ship's occupants in case of an incident.
