INVEST

INVEST aimed to create a virtual reality (VR) training simulation for police forces to help prepare officers for the pressures of complex decision-making in real-world policing environments. The project was delivered across two phases; the first focused on user requirements and scenario development with close engagement with public order training experts from the Police Service Northern Ireland and West Yorkshire Police. The second phase focused on the virtual environment and approaches to connect with the Virtual Battle Space system used for military training.

The proposed INVEST platform was aimed at Bronze Commander Training with CENTRIC developing a test environment based on a protest at a factory site with clashes between workers and protestors.
