AIOLIA
AIOLIA will provide a robust three-tier response to the complex challenges posed by the need to interpret the EU AI Act and global AI regulations at an operational level. Firstly, AIOLIA recognises the gap between ethical values and their practical application in engineering. It addresses this by pioneering a bottom-up approach that operationalises AI ethics towards the human condition and behaviour. Using real-world use cases, AIOLIA will translate high-level principles into actionable and contextual guidelines co-created by leading academic, policy, and ethics-aware industrial partners. Secondly, AIOLIA will craft modular, inclusive training materials following the ADDIE (analyse, design, develop, implement and evaluate) methodology, designed to cater to diverse learning needs. Finally, AIOLIA’s resulting guidelines will evolve into an analytic toolbox for key international AI dialogues and processes. Through this global approach to outreach, AIOLIA will ensure its impact is significant and sustainable and contributes to fair scientific cooperation by providing concrete and culturally informed ethics instruments to shape the next generation of AI systems.
Within AIOLIA, CENTRIC will create a practical handbook to support the co-creation process and produce operational guidelines concerning the AIOLIA use cases.
