3PO Toolkit
The 3PO Toolkit is designed to better protect individuals and families from the threat, risk and impact of online harms. Each pillar provides resources for personal and organisation use. The creation of the pillars and resources are the result of extensive evidence-based research. If you would like more information email centric@shu.ac.uk.
Awareness and Understanding
Helps individual police officers, staff, family members, and forces recognise the nature and extent of online threats and risks to best implement effective protections and responses.
Prevention
Provides officers, staff, families, and forces with information and technologies to prevent online harms.
Mitigation and Support
Enables the full assessment and proportionate investigation of online harms, and ensures effective wellbeing support for staff and families.

Force training package – i/c trainer notes, enabling forces to enhance online harms awareness and protection measures for staff

3PO Self-Assessment Tool – a learning tool assisting officers, staff and families to enhance their understanding of privacy and security on chosen social media platforms and guide them to their preferred settings. The 3PO Self-Assessment Tool can be requested by individuals or forces to promote across their organisation. Links will be provided to enable access to the Tool.

Restricted Toolkit Elements - why and how to access them?
Designed in conjunction with police forces and personnel during the 3PO project, several Toolkit elements include information and suggested operational actions that require specific protections. Consequently, these are not suitable for full public access.
Who can request access?
Restricted documents will be released on request to individuals and organisations in the UK with the following email extensions: @police.uk, @gov.uk, @parliament.uk
Police forces, law enforcement agencies, and other international government bodies are also welcome to request access.

Please contact the 3PO team via centric@shu.ac.uk. Simply provide your name, rank/role, and organisation, and specify which Toolkit elements you would like to view. The 3PO team will aim to provide these to you as soon as possible.
