CENTRIC and YHROCU to launch new Cyber Protect VR module

We are very proud to announce the launch of the Cyber Protect module, the second module of the Cyber Spotlight VR application co-developed with our esteemed partner, the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit (YHROCU), at the Sheffield Police Cyber Clinic ran by YHROCU on the 17th April at Sheffield Hallam University.
Following the success of the first module focusing on the Cyber Prevent* mission, a second module was commissioned with the goal of enhancing employees of small-to-medium enterprises knowledge on the evolving landscape of cyber threats to their organisation in an engaging and interactive way. By immersing the user into a virtual office environment, the application will place the user into a number of scenarios demonstrating the methodologies malicious actors utilise to try and access organisations data, and/or cause damage. The second module will aid YHROCU with their Cyber Protect mission, directly impacting smaller businesses who may not have the resources to effectively encourage their staff to exhibit appropriate cyber security practices.
*The Cyber Prevent module helps to enhance the knowledge of parents, teachers and carers on the indicators that their young people are involved with, or on the cusp of, cyber criminality. The module is already being utilised by YHROCU in their operations surrounding their Cyber Prevent mission, being taken around Yorkshire to a number of events and demonstrations.
