7SHIELD

7SHIELD focuses on protecting critical infrastructure, namely space systems, through prevention, detection, response and mitigation of cyber, physical and hybrid threats. 7SHIELD addresses the entire crisis lifecycle developing technologies for risk assessment, threat intelligence and detection and multi-modal data processing for video, infrared, thermal and UAV-mounted sensors providing early warning, decision support, and warning message generation. The system also facilitates the analysis of cyber-physical attacks and supports space system providers in developing business continuity plans. 

CENTRIC developed a legal and ethical framework for the 7SHIELD, putting the system in the context of legislation such as the GDPR, the Critical Entities Resilience (CER) directive, and the proposed Artificial Intelligence Act. Furthermore, CENTRIC also researched and designed a framework for warning message generation using lessons learned from social media for public alerting, best practices and case studies in critical entity communication approaches.
