The Vanguard project has officially launched its awareness campaign on social
media to increase awareness of dangers online and to promote Red Flag.

Created by the Serious Games Team at CENTRIC, Red Flag is an interactive
educational game for young people aged 13 and over. It raises awareness of the
dangers of human trafficking and, in particular, the so-called ‘loverboy’ method.
It also teaches young people how to behave safely both online and offline and to look out for warning signs (‘red flags’) in order to protect themselves and others.

Today’s digital environment exposes young people to complex risks — from sharing personal images to facing manipulation, pressure, or coercion. Red Flag helps them understand these situations before they escalate.

Red Flag was created to give educators, youth workers, and social professionals a practical, engaging tool to open conversations about these risks. Through interactive scenarios, guided reflection, and real‑world examples, the game helps young people recognize red flags early, understand their boundaries, and know where to seek help.

The goal is simple: empower youth with knowledge, strengthen digital resilience, and support professionals who work with them every day.
